In March 2019, Sabine Chabrillat was appointed the new Scientific Principal Investigator of the EnMAP mission succeeding Luis Guanter, who took up a professorship position at the Universitat Politècnica de València and will continue to work in the EnSAG and EnMAP product validation. Sabine Chabrillat is head of the working group "Hyperspectral remote sensing applications” and head of the spectroscopy lab at GFZ Potsdam. She is an expert in soil spectroscopy and had been involved in the EnMAP proposal and the scientific preparation of the EnMAP mission all along.
