Space X confirmed the launch of the EnMAP satellite on 1. April 2022!
In addition the joint operations phase with SpaceX began on Monday. As the last of the 29 different payloads, the satellite was strapped onto the launch adapter, accompanied by numerous interim inspections by the teams. EnMAP has the prominent front seat on the launch adapter – it is by far the largest payload on the Transporter 4 launch.
The battery was charged, then all connection cables and all red tag items were removed. Yesterday the starting signal for the encapsulation was given, the fairing is already closed today. Now the rocket is finalized!
The Operational Readiness Review was also successfully completed with the close-out on Thursday, so that everything is prepared for the launch of the satellite on the ground segment as well. The EnMAP activities in preparation for the launch have so far gone according to plan.
