Our first image of 2026 shows the Zagros Mountains in western Iran (Fars Province). The landscape features steep slopes, deep valleys, and sparse steppe vegetation. It is a typical semi-arid mountain region with diverse geology, seasonal water sources, and plants adapted to harsh conditions. The Fin area, in particular, has a long agricultural tradition and supports the lives of nomads adapted to the challenging mountain environment.
