On April 1, 2022, at 6:24 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST), EnMAP successfully started its journey into space as the largest payload on a Falcon 9 rocket from the US space company SpaceX from Cape Canaveral in Florida.

An exciting year has passed since then. The successful completion of the LEOP phase and the first recorded image on April 27, 2022 was only the beginning. The EnMAP data has been freely available to users since November2, 2022 and the interest of the community is continuously growing. Since than there are 795 registered users from 69 different countries worldwide. A total of more than 17500 tiles were recorded. The distribution of the requested images shows that especially Europe is of great interest.

World map of geographic location of all Earth observation 17534 tiles archived.

But the potential of EnMAP Data around the globe is just to be uncovered! Looking forward to the next years!
